BlzGetLocale
- comment
Returns player's active locale ID (LCID).
// English (US) = 'enUS' // English (UK) = 'enGB' // French = 'frFR' // German = 'deDE' // Spanish = 'esES' // Italian = 'itIT' // Czech = 'csCZ' // Russian = 'ruRU' // Polish = 'plPL' // Portuguese (Brazilian) = 'ptBR' // Portuguese (Portugal) = 'ptPT' // Turkish = 'tkTK' // Japanese = 'jaJA' // Korean = 'koKR' // Chinese (Traditional) = 'zhTW' // Chinese (Simplified) = 'zhCN' // Thai = 'thTH'- note
The "English" setting is represented as "enUS". "enGB" probably never existed.
The classic's Hungarian fan translation had not changed the LCID. It runs as "enUS".
- note
Warcraft 3 LCIDs can be found in
config.iniinside the CASC/MPQ.- note
Although the Battle.net App lets you select Text and Spoken Languages separately, only the Text Language matters for Warcraft 3. Maybe "Spoken Language" wasn't implemented at all.
- note
After changing the game's language settings in the Battle.net App, you must start the game once through the app for the locale setting to apply. Manually starting the "Warcraft III.exe" will not pick up the setting.
- async
- This function is asynchronous. The values it returns are not guaranteed to be the same for each player. If you attempt to use it in an synchronous manner it may cause a desync.
